From the immense variety of Peruvian supplies I know, we know few, just a few. My mother bought mashuas a few years ago, inspired by a charismatic cook. My first reaction was distrust. Shyly they began to appear in the soup and seemed destined to stay there.
Six years ago, back at my parents’ house, more committed to my new home and my health, I decided to learn about this immense list that I heard so much about and tried so little. In this season I have found three varieties of mashua and with enthusiasm and some recipes we are making more and more attempts. First merit is an edible result. Mom cooks very well, I do the shopping and I am an internet hunter.
